For Bethany’s own home renovation, the aim was to modernize, as well as to bring in as much warmth, light, and life as possible. On a structural level, this meant removing many of the support beams and arched entryways of the original home to make the space feel open and airy.
“Her taste is impeccable and her integrity beyond compare. Bethany is such a fun designer to work with and has a genuine desire to meet the needs of her clients. She listens to and incorporates other perspectives, knows how to apply the diverse expertise of her team to come up with creative solutions, and easily adapts to changes that’ll improve the look and function of a space even if they occur late in the project timeline. She’ll visit vendors multiple times to make sure everything’s done right, advocating for her clients down to the very last detail. That’s a quality I respect and admire. She has an ability to align people behind a vision and bring it to life in a beautiful, unexpected way that enhances her clients’ homes and lives—and we’re proud to be a part of that.”
To create a cozy, spa-like feel in this room, we used a serene palette and plenty of tactile texture.
By removing the hearth, filling in the carpet with hardwoods, and lightening up the wood, we opened up tons of space in the room and were able to make way for streamlined storage and a place to lounge with family and friends.
The loft provides the perfect home for one of Bethany’s favorite heirlooms—a desk made from her great grandfather’s furniture company .
Our kitchen update includes new white cabinets, a new island, and a welcoming table for family gatherings.
We also removed the hearth here to free up space for lounging.
What began as a cramped, closed-off space became a light, open piano room, a sanctuary for enjoying music or quiet reflection.
For extra seating and enjoyment of the beauty outside, we added a cozy and serene conversation corner by the window.
