A dedicated nonprofit organization breathed new life into an old, outdated home by transforming it into a multi-purpose space for community and corporate. Their goal for this home is to make it available to rent out at affordable rates to families seeking a unique getaway and provide a dedicated space for executive meetings. But more importantly, to generate a sustainable income stream to help fund future projects and operational costs, making the nonprofit more sustainable.
This dining room - conference room combo has much more breathing space after removing a large beam that made the room feel claustrophobic. We added the long conference-style table with plenty of seating.
The kitchen felt small even with the open concept to the living room and the vaulted ceilings. Removing the soffit and bringing the cabinets taller makes the room feel more airy and bright.
In the living space, new window coverings and a new light fixture were all it took to modernize the room.
The basement boasts an epic view of the front range, so utilizing the double sliding doors to the backyard in our design was a must!
