This house came with a great foundation, but needed the right furnishings to bring it to life. Drawing on the client’s love of mid-century modern design, her fondness for shades of blue and purple (a nod to her military background), and her husband’s desire for a clean and soothing vibe, we furnished the house to feel like a home, a place to step inside and say aaaahhh.

“Bethany was amazing to work with! When we got married, our home was decorated in a mismatch of styles. It didn’t feel good. Our recent move to the Colorado Springs area was the perfect time to upgrade. By asking the right questions and really listening to us, Bethany helped us settle on the style we both liked. Cozy modern with a mid-century modern twist. She gave us several options and everything we chose, from sofas and tables to lighting, artwork and accessories, aligns with each other. We never used our great room before and now it’s where we spend most of our time and entertain guests. We’re proud of our home and are careful to keep it clean and organized. Thanks to Bethany, we live in a peaceful place that looks like it’s right out of a magazine.”

A few strategic tweaks—decluttering, sprinkling in a few accessories, like plants and a pretty cutting board, and adding a row of stylish leather counter stools—made the kitchen feel light, fresh, and modern.

A sleek console table, warm lighting, a simple mirror, and a cozy blue rug took this entryway from empty to enticing.

Using the beautiful existing dining table as a starting point, we infused this space with cozy mid-century modern flair, incorporating wood-framed, white-upholstered chairs, a dramatic chandelier, and abstract artwork.

This couple wanted the room to feel warmer and more inviting, while keeping their beloved books and the existing artwork, which was a gift, on display. Switching out the dark leather sectional for a lighter one made the space feel instantly brighter and more open. Sculptural furnishings, from the chairs to the coffee table, celebrate the geometric shapes of classic mid-century designs. Pops of blue and purple, the client’s favorite hues, introduce warmth, color, and character, while also tying in with the prominent artwork above the fireplace. We edited and re-styled the built-in shelves for a cleaner, more curated look, while personalizing with family photos and favorite books. The flowers on the mantel recall the client’s wedding bouquet. A bench with a spray of lush greenery provides cozy additional seating.
